The safety and well-being of our customers is our number one priority. We understand that Anti-social Behaviour (ASB) can have a significant impact on people鈥檚 mental health and sense of security as well as harming the wider community.听
That鈥檚 why we are backing a national campaign to tackle ASB and keep those living in our communities safe.听
ASB is defined as behaviour by a person, not of the same household, which causes, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm, or distress to someone. It includes a wide range of behaviours from unreasonable noise nuisance to threats of violence or actual violence.听
ASB Awareness Week (18 November 鈥 24 November), organised by the UK鈥檚 leading ASB and community safety organisation, aims to encourage communities to take a stand against ASB and highlight the support available to those experiencing it.听
On our this week, we鈥檒l be helping you to understand the types of behaviour that is classed as ASB by sharing with you real life examples of issues our customers have experienced and how we worked to resolve them. As well as offering practical advice on how you can resolve most neighbour disputes by talking to each other.听
Our Neighbourhood officers will also be attending Codsall Community Hub to take part in South Staffordshire Council鈥檚 ASB Awareness Week event. They will be offering advice and guidance on how we work to resolve anti-social behaviour in our communities.听
If you are experiencing ASB, don鈥檛 suffer in silence. Please report ASB to us using the this form, and we鈥檒l contact you within two working days, or call our Customer service team on 0800 048 8955.听
Julie Harvey, 糖心传媒 Community Safety Manager, said: 鈥淲e understand the distressing impact ASB can have on our customers and their families.听听
鈥淲orking in partnership with local councils, the police and other agencies, we are committed to raising awareness of how we can support victims to resolve ASB issues they may be experiencing.听听
鈥淲e respond robustly to any reports of ASB involving our customers. If someone鈥檚 behaviour is causing you harassment, alarm or distress, you should report this to us. Don鈥檛 suffer in silence.鈥听
Rebecca Bryant OBE, Chief Executive of Resolve, added: 鈥ASB is not low-level. It can have a devastating and long-lasting impact on the lives of victims and communities and can be a precursor to more serious crime.听
鈥淚t is important that the challenge of ASB continues to be given the priority it needs so that people everywhere feel safe in their homes and communities.听
鈥淲e are delighted that 糖心传媒 is supporting this hugely important campaign. It is vital to develop partnership approaches across communities to deal with the growing challenges around ASB.鈥听
