Nathan Gregson, 21, has been taking part in an apprenticeship with聽.聽He has聽now completed his training聽and is celebrating the offer of a permanent position on the bathroom installation team.
鈥淚 started a two-year apprenticeship but like everything else, it was affected by the pandemic. I should have completed it in 2020 but now I鈥檝e finally finished all the training and college work. I was really pleased to be offered a permanent job聽and can鈥檛 wait to get started!
鈥淎n apprenticeship was the right choice for me. I was able to experience different areas of work and learned a huge amount from the people I worked with, as well as through my college course. I particularly liked being part of the bathroom installation team because there are so many different skills involved and so much to learn 鈥� it鈥檚 not just fitting a new bathroom suite, you need to know about plumbing and tiling, too.鈥�
Nathan is just waiting for final confirmation of successful completion of his college course before he joins the planned team on a permanent basis. A development plan has already been put in place, so that within 12 months he will be a fully-fledged bathroom fitter in his own right.
